  • A initial free telephone consultation of 20 minutes is offered for all potential clients.

  • For therapy to be the most effective, I usually recommend meeting on a weekly or fortnightly basis. Regular sessions help create a sense of continuity, safety and trust within the therapeutic relationship.

  • Before beginning therapy , I will provide you with a detailed contract outlining how we will work together. This includes important information about confidentiality, session arrangements, boundaries, and therapeutic process, so you feel clear and informed before we start our work.

  • During the counselling process, it is completely normal to sometimes feel worse before you begin to feel better. Therapy often involves gently exploring difficult emotions, past experiences, and patterns that may have been buried or avoided for a long time. As these feelings start to surface , it can sometimes feel uncomfortable or overwhelming. For this reason, throughout our work together I will regularly check in with you about how you are caring for yourself outside of our sessions.

  • I believe it is important to have a ending session when our work comes to a close. Whatever the reason for finishing therapy, having a final session can be a valuable part of the process. Giving a opportunity to reflect on the progress you have made, and bring a sense of completion to the therapeutic relationship.

  • At present, I offer counselling sessions afternoons and some evenings. I will be reviewing my availability in six months with the intention of introducing morning appointments in the future.
